ABOUT
the CEO
Alix Dormeus, professionally known today as CEO MouyeGang and formerly known as King A1, is a music executive, artist developer, songwriter, producer, manager, executive producer, A&R-minded creative, and entrepreneur whose career has developed across multiple sides of the music industry.
Early in his career, Dormeus worked with renowned producer Scott Storch, contributing to records and working in the studio on music being developed for potential placement with other artists. That experience gave Dormeus firsthand exposure to the creative and professional environment surrounding high-level music production while strengthening his development as a songwriter and producer.
As Dormeus continued creating music and building his own catalog, his work eventually caught the attention of Memphis Bleek, the Jay-Z protégé and Roc-A-Fella veteran. Performing under the name King A1, Dormeus subsequently collaborated with Bleek on “Not The Same.” The collaboration received coverage from Complex, providing national media recognition for King A1 and adding an important chapter to Dormeus’s developing career as an artist and songwriter.
Following the Memphis Bleek collaboration, Dormeus continued developing his own music as King A1, including the release of “Diamonds Dancing.” His career would soon begin expanding beyond his own recordings as he increasingly moved into artist development, management, songwriting, production, and creating opportunities for other artists. One of the most significant developments in that transition came through Dormeus’s work with recording artist Pilly Mae. Dormeus helped curate freestyle content, develop creative strategies, and build consistent momentum around her music.
That work eventually caught the attention of DJ E-Feezy, who was a DJ at 99 JAMZ and began playing Pilly Mae’s music on the station, giving her exposure to a broader Miami audience. Dormeus continued working with Pilly Mae and developing her music, content, and overall positioning. Eventually he caught the attention of Michael Gardner, a prominent Miami nightlife promoter and key figure behind LIV on Sunday. Through that opportunity, Pilly Mae was able to perform at Story Nightclub in South Beach in an environment surrounded by some of the biggest names in hip-hop; including Migos, Future, Moneybagg Yo, Yo Gotti, Drake, and Rick Ross.
The progression became an important example of Dormeus’s approach to artist development: creating momentum through consistent work, turning that momentum into industry attention, and helping position an emerging artist in increasingly influential environments. Pilly Mae later received a Roc Nation opportunity, adding another significant chapter to Dormeus’s development as a manager and talent developer. Dormeus continued expanding his career through artist management, songwriting, and production, including his work with recording artist Ocho Sneak, whom he managed under contract.
During that period, Dormeus contributed songwriting and production to songs on Ocho Sneak’s second EP, Hunger Story 2. The project was released under the Roc Nation Records umbrella and cataloged through Universal Music, placing Dormeus’s creative contributions within a major-label music ecosystem. His songwriting portfolio also expanded beyond his management and production work. Dormeus received songwriting credit on Roxxanne Montana’s “Dope Girl,” featuring Rick Ross, adding another notable recording to his creative résumé.
As Dormeus’s experience and industry relationships continued to grow, he began operating increasingly in the A&R and artist-development space. In 2022, he partnered with DJ E-Feezy through the FLARE A&R Experience, creating an opportunity for his artist Dream Rayne to perform in front of established music-industry figures including Hitmaka, Cool & Dre, London on da Track, Earl Johnson, and Ray Daniels. Dormeus also served as an executive producer for Dream Rayne, expanding his role beyond traditional management and promotion into creative direction, project development, and music production.
One of his notable accomplishments as an executive producer came through Dream Rayne’s “Hot Stuff,” a song that landed the attention and co-sign of R&B legend Tank. The accomplishment demonstrated Dormeus’s ability to develop and executive-produce music capable of gaining recognition from established artists within the R&B community. His work with Dream Rayne represents another dimension of Dormeus’s broader approach to artist development—combining music creation, creative direction, branding, strategy, relationships, and opportunity development to help position artists for meaningful industry exposure.
Across his career, Dormeus has continued to demonstrate an ability to operate from multiple positions within the music business. His experience spans artist, songwriter, producer, manager, artist developer, executive producer, A&R-minded creative, radio/media entrepreneur, and music-business executive.
Today, as CEO of MouyeGang Music Inc., Dormeus is focused on building a broader music and entertainment company centered around artist development, management, music marketing, media, radio, songwriting, production, creative strategy, and industry opportunities. His long-term vision extends beyond individual artist projects. Dormeus aims to develop MouyeGang into a comprehensive music company capable of developing talent, creating intellectual property, facilitating industry relationships, providing strategic services, and building sustainable businesses around artists and their music.
What separates Dormeus’s journey is the evolution of his role within the industry. At MouyeGang Music Inc., he leads with a hands-on approach, specializing in artist development, branding, and customized marketing strategies. His work has helped clients secure opportunities with major labels and achieve significant streaming milestones. In 2024, he took the company to new heights by securing a key distribution deal with a major global platform, expanding the reach of his artists while preserving their creative control. With a unique blend of industry knowledge, business savvy, and genuine passion for music, CEO Mouyegang continues to educate, develop, and launch careers—proving that independent success is not only possible, but sustainable.
